Heilbronn ...75 klm

Blue skies & hot day the song of woe extends again to,
' I left my tyre in Heilbronn'. Today saw us cycling down the Leckar valley, which is covered in grape vines the whole way, a great wine making area. Yvonne hit something sharp 20 klms from Heilbronn which caused her rear tyre to go Z shaped as the internal belts were damaged, this meant  we had to disconnect the rear brakes to stop the Z from rubbing. As there were some serious hills I chose to swap back wheels with Yvonne so that I did the bumping up & down & had my brakes disconnected & Yvonne had my good wheel. I bought a new tyre on arrival in Heilbronn & all is now well again.

The very floral front fence of the Schloss in Ludwigsburg.

Front view of the very pretty Schloss at Ludwigsburg.

Another pretty garden fence.

Making hay while the sun shines.

A helicopter sprays hillside grapes as we cycle underneath.

Roadside cherry trees, the red ones aren't quite ripe yet & are sour but the dark coloured ones are great.

A roadside apple tree. While we had our trackside lunch we found a rasberry bush & they were deliscious.

We cycled in the valley beside the Neckar river & there were many swans on the river.

Hillside grapes, river out of view to the left.

Looking down river & more of the endless grapes.
