Very pleased to say Yvonnes' leg is getting much better using smelly heat rub, brufin, paracetemol, massage & a pressure bandage, all together. Also Greg took on the burden of Yvonnes' last bag, so she is riding pannier free.
The weather was cool overcast & hazy, which made for very pleasant riding conditions. It was a slightly hilly route today, with one or two challenging climbs, maybe these helped to sort out Yvonnes' knee. The down hills were great & I even managed to hit 60 klms with 3 panniers on the back, but it did start to feel a little unstable at that stage. We had the usual bakery stop
(no more bakery pictures or you will get the shits).I must make mention of the custard here, it is a mixture of custard & cream cheese & is just great. This is in response to a question from Carmel.
I have had some minor on going problems with my bike resulting from the first day when the derailleur went through the spokes. The damaged spokes caused the rim to warp, causing some minor rear brake issues. As I am not too bright it has taken me over 500 klms to notice this. This has now been rectified with the spoke spanner that I was lucky enough to have brought.

Part of the wall that surrounds the walled city of Rothenburg. You can walk along the parapet if you want.
Another view of the wall.
More of the country side we cycled through today. Again a no river day.
Just passing through..
The nest of a pair storks on top of someones chimney, it had a very large chick in it, not visible in this photo.
Greg, ready to party, complete with balloons.
Y vonne holding a wind turbine with 30 metre blades, in the palm of her hand.
These turbines are huge & are everywhere.
We are once again in a walled city from the 1300s tonight, this time Dinkelsbuhl.
Street scene Dinkelsbuhl.
Mandatory ABC shot of the Dinelsbuhl church, built in 1639.
Here are some Dinkelsbuhl horses pulling some Dinkelsbuhl tourists
City wall & pit with main wall behind.
City entry gate, you can see where the drawbridge fixtures have been, but it now has a permanent stone bridge to it.
